Wyoming, MI – The Grace Christian University JV men's basketball team opened up their 2020 calendar year with a win over Madonna University Tuesday night, 67-53. The Tigers controlled the game defensively, holding a Crusaders team to almost less than half as many points as they scored on them back in November when the Tigers suffered a 101-80 setback.
Gerard Oray led a balanced attack for the Tigers with 11 points and 6 assists. Noah Johnston added 10 points and 7 rebounds, while Adrian Cobbs added 9 and 9.
Head Coach Ryan Krombeen was able to distribute minutes evenly in the second half of the game, as the Tigers held a comfortable lead throughout.
The win moves them to 9-6 on the year and 6-1 on their home floor, heading into a match-up with Cornerstone University this Thursday (a game designated for a roster of varsity reserves) and a trip to Lake Superior State University next Monday.
