5v5 Flag Football Rules:
1. "5 APPLE" rush. The defense gets one blitz per set of downs where they do not have to count to "5 APPLE". There are no linemen, and no blocking of any player.
2. Your team is awarded 1st down when you cross half-field before 4 downs.
3. The offense gets one rushing play per set of downs, otherwise they have to throw.
4. On touchdowns, the offense must attempt a PAT from the PAT hash-mark for a single point. There are no 2-point conversions.
5. The opposing team CAN score a touchdown from a pick-6 or fumble recovery on a PAT attempt.
6. If the offense elects to punt, the ball shall be placed on the opposing team's PAT hash mark
7. A player is down when their flags come fully removed. If their flags fall off naturally, the play continues by two-hand touch. If a player's knee or elbow hits the ground with the ball, they are deemed down immediately, regardless of whether they were touched or their flags come off.
8. Penalties shall be called via the honor system between the two teams, unless a referee is present. Upon a penalty, the play is deemed dead and results in an immediate 5 yard penalty from the prior line of scrimmage. Replay previous down.
9. Only one foot must be in-bounds on a catch to be deemed a catch.
