Wyoming, MI – The Grace Christian University men's JV basketball team moved to 7-4 on the season Tuesday night after an impressive 88-84 win over NJCAA Jackson College at the Aldrich Athletic Center.
The Tigers led for the majority of the game and built a comfortable 11 point lead 10 minutes into the second half before the Jets put together a 16-3 run to take the lead at 66-64. When it seemed like the Jets were carrying momentum into the later stages of the game, the Tigers kicked things back into gear and re-took the lead a couple possessions later and would never give it back. A huge three-point basket from Ladarius Lyons to beat the shot clock with 4 minutes remaining would be crucial, as well as multiple baskets from
Adam Rearick, who had a career high 25 points on the night.
Elisha Moore and
Ethan Clasen also scored in double-figures with 16 and 14 points, respectively. Micah Cramer led the Tigers with 5 assists.
Next up for the Tigers is a trip to Great Lakes Christian College next Wednesday, and they return to their home court on Thursday against Calvin University.
