Ann Arbor, MI – The NCCAA #3 Concordia University-Ann Arbor Cardinals hosted the Grace Christian University baseball team over the weekend for the 2022 NCCAA Mideast Regional.

It was the first taste of postseason for the Tigers, and through 3 ½ innings, upset watch was in full effect, as the Tigers built a 3-0 lead. The Cardinals then strung together 7 runs in the bottom of the 4^th and would run away with a 12-3 win in game 1. The Cardinals would carry their momentum into game 2, leaving no doubt with 11 runs in the first inning. The Tigers didn't hang up the cleats at this point, but would battle to the finish, scoring 4 runs in the final three innings to close out their first official season with a 18-6 loss. Concordia University-Ann Arbor will go on to the NCCAA National Tournament, played in South Carolina.

The Tigers finish their 2022 campaign with a 3-37 record overall, and the majority of them will be returning next season with a full year of experience – including now some postseason experience with the late addition of these regional games.
