Grace Welcomes Jason Romano to Campus

Wyoming, MI - Grace Christian University had the privilege of welcoming Jason Romano to campus this week. Romano, former ESPN producer and senior manager, shared his story at the ROOTED Celebration on Monday night, spoke at Chapel on Tuesday morning, and sat down for student discussions.

Jason Romano worked as a producer and senior manager for ESPN for 17 years. In 2017, he decided to step away from his successful career at ESPN to take a leap faith to pursue sports ministry. Jason is now the director of media for Sports Spectrum and the host of the Sports Spectrum podcast, a sports media platform that connects sports and faith. He also a speaker and author, with his most recent book, "The Uniform of Leadership: Lessons on True Success from My ESPN Life." 

The 2024 ROOTED Celebration was a night of honoring seniors and bringing the student-athletes together. Parker Neu (Men's Basketball) and Eleyna Zichterman (Women's Volleyball) were named the 2024 ROOTED Senior Athletes of the Year.
