The Grace Christian Tigers baseball used a strong start at the plate and timely late-game pitching to secure an 8–6 victory over the Olivet Comets baseball in a non-conference matchup.
Grace Christian wasted no time setting the tone, plating three runs in the opening inning and adding another in the second to take early control. Their aggressive approach at the plate continued through the middle innings, as the Tigers scored in five of the first seven frames to build an 8–3 lead. Ben Anderson finished with 4 hits while Mo Lerma, Eric Whiting and Dylan Thomas each tallied two each.
Kaleb Blaskowski got the start on the mound for Grace and went four strong innings, giving up just two runs.
Olivet struggled to respond early but showed resilience late in the contest. After managing just three runs through the first eight innings, the Comets rallied in the ninth, pushing across three runs to cut the deficit to two. However, the comeback fell short, leaving the tying run just out of reach.
Grace Christian finished with 13 hits compared to Olivet's 9, capitalizing on consistent offensive pressure throughout the game. On the mound, Parker Curell earned the win for Grace Christian, improving his record to 2–1. Mo Lerma secured the save, closing the door despite Olivet's late push.
