GBCVB ventured to Gary, Indiana for some cross-division competition against the Redhawks of Indiana University Northwest (NAIA) on Tuesday night.
Match play started out unusually slow for the Tigers as they fell behind early and eventually dropped set one with a score of 10-25.
The Tigers came together and made adjustments against the hard hitting Redhawks in both sets two and three. Despite the improved performance, Grace fell 15-25 in both remaining sets, concluding the match 0-3.
"Sometimes the scoreboard does not reflect the victories achieved on the court," commented Coach
Becky Karsten. "We came together despite some uncontrollable circumstances and improved how we played in every set of this match."
Game ball for the night went to sophomore
Alli Kortman for her contributions to the team kill count, dig count, and efforts displayed on the court.
Tigers are back in action this weekend as they travel to Wisconsin to face Finlandia University and Mount Mary University.
