Another home game is in the books for GBCVB as the Tigers hosted the Lady RedHawks of Indiana University Northwest last night, September 22
The night started out exciting and very evenly matched as both teams exchanged points late into the first set of the game. In the end, it was the Tigers who earned the well fought victory winning 27-25.
The remainder of the match was more of the same as both teams fought to keep the upper hand. The home crowd helped keep the energy high, but unfortunately, the RedHawks would narrowly outscore the Tigers in the remaining three sets with scores of 20-25, 21-25 and 21-25 to take the overall match. Grace was outscored by only 11 points through the four-set match (89-100).
"We fought hard from the start of the match and kept fighting to the end," Head Coach
Becky Karsten said. "Our hitters were swinging hard at the net; we just couldn't quite break up their hot streaks tonight. It will be good to match up with this team again in late October."
Game ball for the night was awarded to Freshman, #8
Robin Gould, for her encouragement on the floor, blocking efforts and adaptive gameplay. Tigers hit the road this Saturday traveling to Chicago to take on Dayspring College and host-school Moody Bible Institute.
