Grace volleyball extends win streak to 6

Wyoming, MI - Grace hosted the Bruins of Kellogg Community College on Wednesday night and earned another solid victory to increase the winning streak to 6 in a row. The Tigers now stand at 12-7 overall this season.

GBCVB took an early command of the court, dominating the first set with a score of 25-16. The Bruins answered back with a win of their own, tying the match 1-1 with a second set score of 15-25.

Timely blocks and aggressive swings were the name of the game as GBC captured back to back third and fourth set wins with scores of 25-20 and 25-17 to seal the overall match victory with a 3-1 win over KCC.

"We had all around solid games tonight against some great competition," Coach Becky Karsten said. "Our passing game was focused, we swung aggressively and we made the necessary adjustments on the blocks. Successfully implementing these fundamental skills and earning the early momentum laid a great foundation to build upon as the night progressed."

Notable contributions again KCC: Adrianna Bunce was the kill leader (14), followed by Kylee Maat (10), Amy Leszinske (8), and Melinda Thomas (7); Team total 47 kills. Maat also earned a solo and 3 assisted blocks. Robin Gould contributed 4 aces on the match.

Setter Ashley Bearden was awarded the game ball for her competitive attitude and continued leadership on the court. She also contributed 40 set assists, 5 digs and had 100% serving percentage.

Special shout out to the teams (Holland Calvary, Muskegon, Wyoming and Rivertown Christian) who participated in Wednesday's Future Tiger Night. Thanks for your support and contributions in making this annual event a successful night!
