Tigers added another two wins this weekend, capping off an undefeated week and pushing their overall record to 11-7.

GBCVB hosted the Patriots of Morthland College and the RedHawks of Lake Michigan College this weekend.

The Tigers started the day strong against Morthland, earning the overall match victory in three straights sets with scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-13.

Notable contributions against Morthland: Ashley Bearden claimed 29 set assists. Emma Summerfield collected 10 digs and kill leaders were Adrianna Bunce, Melinda Thomas and Amy Leszinske with 8, 7 and 6 respectively of the team's 36 total kills.

Having narrowly lost to the RedHawks in their last two encounters on the floor, Grace knew the challenge before them and rose to the occasion. The Tigers came out swinging and fought for back-to-back wins to start the match on a high note with scores of 27-25 and 25-23. After a close third set loss (22-25), it was the Tiger's defense that locked in the fourth set and final overall victory as the Grace finished the win 25-20.

"Our blockers adjusted extremely well against a very skilled RedHawk offense," noted Coach Becky Karsten. "We had some great blocks and got a lot of additional touches needed to run all of our offense options. Overall gameplay was fantastic today; we remain encouraged by the team's versatility and adaptive efforts."

Notable Contributions against Lake Michigan: Freshman Kylee Maat was kill leader with 12; Amy Leszinske and Adrianna Bunce had 10 and 9 respectively. Leszinske with a .500% attack percentage and Bunce led with 16 digs. Ashley Bearden produced 5 timely aces and earned 38 set assists.

Amy Leszinske was awarded the gameball for the second time this season for leading the offensive charge with 18 kills on the day. Her defense in both the front and back row (19 digs, 4 solo blocks) was a large factor in both of the day's victories.

The Tigers continue their stretch of home games, hosting Kellogg Community College on Wednesday for the 2nd Annual "Future Tiger Day". Next weekend is Homecoming for Grace Bible College and GBCVB will host Lake Michigan College and Silver Lake College on Friday at 4 and 8pm. Tigers take on Dayspring Bible College on Saturday at 2:00pm followed by the ever-intense GBCVB Alumni Match immediately following.
