Phoenixville, PA - After over 20 years of coming seemingly as close as a team could possibly come, the Grace men's soccer team is once again bringing home a regional championship banner.

The Tigers won handily in their semifinal matchup against Boyce College on Friday afternoon, defeating the Bulldogs 5-1, before battling hard for 90 minutes in a 3-2 victory over #2 seed Kentucky Christian University in the final.  Daniel Sischo put in the game winning goal late in the second half for the Tigers.

At the regional banquet, sophomore Daniel Sischo, senior Evan Przybysz, senior Aaron Wienss, and sophomore Tarcisio Silva were all named 1st-team All-Region, while Sischo also was honored as the 2016 Player of the Year.

The win earned the Tigers their first bid to the NCCAA National Tournament since 1994.  The tournament will be held in Kissimmee, Florida on November 16-19.
