Grayson, KY - Grace Bible College and Kentucky Christian University are already building their rivalry as the newly formed NCCAA Mideast Region had its first soccer game with two nationally ranked teams on Saturday afternoon. Grace defeated NCCAA DII #5 KCU 3-2 on the Knights' home turf to step in to the #1 spot at this point in the season.
Sophomore
Daniel Sischo recorded a hat-trick, with assists from sophomore
Tarcisio Silva (2) and senior
Austin Olson (1).
"We played well against a really good team. We played together and were disciplined," commented Head Coach
Dustin Buchanan. "We could have prevented the last goal we gave up late, but we stayed strong in the end. It was a big win that we went out and were committed to getting a solid result away from home against a very good team."
The Tigers, now 4-3 on the year, are back in action Monday night at Robert Morris University (IL) at 6:00 pm.
