Grace came out strong against the the Wolverines of U of M Dearborn on Tuesday, 9/20, with a solid first set win, 25-20. The Wolverines snagged the second set win, barely outscoring the Tigers 23-25. After two well-played sets, both Grace and Dearborn traded victories, yet again, in the succeeding 3rd and 4th sets with scores of 25-22 (GBC) and 16-25 (U of M).

After a slow start in the fifth set, the Tigers couldn't quite claw their way back into contention resulting in the final set score of 8-15 and overall match 2-3 loss.

"Both teams played very well tonight," Coach Karsten said. "We accomplished so many great things out there and we are proud of the overall match intensity. It's bittersweet, but with a few minor tweaks we could have walked away with a win tonight - we know we have what it takes to stand with great competition. As a team we will stay hungry and take what we learned on the road this weekend."

Ashley Bearden was awarded the gameball for her intensity and court leadership. She also collected 31 set assists, 6 aces, 9 digs and had 96% serving percentage on the night.
