Grace suffers narrow loss to Cleary Cougars

Box Score Wyoming, MI – The Tigers nearly pulled off a great result this past Friday night, narrowly falling to one of the top NAIA teams in the state in Cleary University.  In the first half, the Grace defense held strong to not allow a goal from the Cougars.  One golden opportunity presented itself to the Tigers when junior Daniel Sischo broke free for what seemed to be the first goal of the game, but it was nullified by an offside call from the sideline referee.  The first half would end knotted at 0-0.

The Cougars would break the tie quickly in the second half, and the goal would end up being the game-winner, with the result finishing 1-0.  The Tigers would hold strong and create a couple decent opportunities in the second half to equalize, ultimately falling short to a very talented team.

Grace returns to their home field Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 pm against regional opponent Great Lakes Christian College.  Come out and support the team's lone senior, Mark Olson, as he plays in his final game on Velting Field!
