Box Score Wyoming, MI – The Grace Tigers faced the #1 team in the NCCAA DII Saturday afternoon at the Aldrich Athletic Center, Kentucky Christian University. The game would come with high repercussions, as the winner would receive the 2017 NCCAA Mideast Regional championship banner and an automatic bid to the NCCAA National Tournament in Greenville, South Carolina. The two teams would alternate wins in the first four sets. After two hours of play and the first four hard fought and exciting sets, the Knights prevailed over the Tigers 15-10 in the final set to take home the banner.
Hope is not gone for the Grace Bible Tigers, who seem to be peaking at the right time. The field for the 2017 NCCAA DII National Tournament in Greenville will be determined tomorrow night after the conclusion of the three other regional tournaments. The Tigers have a solid argument for an at-large bid, after defeating the #2 team in the NCCAA Power Rankings, Johnson University-TN and battling the #1 team until the finish in the final.
