Box Score 2 Grayson, KY – The Grace men's soccer team tasted their first tough NCCAA DII competition this weekend at Kentucky Christian University, facing Johnson University (TN) and Randall University (OK) on Friday and Saturday. The Tigers would split the games over the weekend, after a tough 3-2 loss in the final minute versus the Royals of Johnson University was followed up with a big 4-2 win over the Randall Saints.
Juniors
Daniel Sischo and
Nick Pilieci both scored on Friday night off of assists from
Ryan Wilson and
Jorge Leon. Pilieci's late equalizer looked to push the game to overtime before the Royals connected on a goal with 45 seconds remaining in the game. Freshman
Dylan DeVries scored twice in Saturday's win, with Sischo and Leon both pitching in a goal. Sischo added 2 assists, while Leon and freshman
Ethan Michael were credited with the other two assists.
In the other games of the weekend invite, Kentucky Christian defeated Johnson University (TN) 4-0 and Randall University defeated Kentucky Christian 3-2.
The Tigers return to their home field Thursday afternoon at 4:00 pm against NAIA DII Lourdes University.
