Wyoming, MI - The defenses made it a grind for both Grace Christian University and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College to create opportunities to score Saturday afternoon at Velting Field, with only a couple real scoring chances from either side occurring throughout the entire game. 

Senior Jorge Leon started things off with the lone goal for the Tigers in the first half, coming off of a penalty kick after a hand ball in the box.  The game would remain scoreless for the remainder of the first half.  The Pomeroys would capitalize twice on well placed through balls in the second half to make the difference, escaping with a 2-1 road victory.

The loss caps off the regular season for the Tigers, leading into a huge weekend coming up at the NCCAA Mideast Regional Tournament.  Grace will be hosting in 2018, but their first match will take place on Friday at 2:00 pm at MSA Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  If they advance to the final on Saturday, they will play at Velting Field at 2:30 pm.  Stay tuned for more details to come next Monday.
