Livonia, MI – The Grace JV men's basketball program moves to 9-8 on the year after a 97-74 win over the Madonna Crusaders on Monday night.
Jarmichael Heard led the Tigers with 22 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Gerard Oray followed with 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Thomas Hill had 14 points, and Zach Johnston had 11 points to round out the Tigers in double-figures. Jashawn Bailey and Johnston had 7 rebounds to lead the Tigers.
Head Coach Ryan Krombeen was pleased with the 23 point win over a team that the Tigers needed a game winning 3 point shot to beat earlier in the season.
"Outside of the last 5 minutes of the first half, I felt like this was the most complete game we've played all year. All of our bigs played extremely well and our guards kept consistent pressure and attacked the hoop. Whenever you can get 28 points from your bench, you'll be in good shape as a team."
The Tigers are back in action next Tuesday at home against Calvin at 7:00 pm. The game will be a breast cancer awareness event, so wear pink and be ready for some fun games and fundraising activities to go along with some exciting basketball action!
