Dearborn, MI – The Grace JV men's basketball team opened up their season with an impressive 82-64 road win over University of Michigan-Dearborn Saturday morning.
Xavion Meeks led the Tigers with 17 points, followed by Ace Cobb with 14 and
Zak Lucas with 12.
"I thought it was a solid first outing, especially with 8 out of 11 guys not on the team last year," commented Grace Head Coach
Ryan Krombeen. "We moved the ball very well, and we ran our sets better than I expected. Our help side defense improved throughout the game. We need to improve in terms of defensive rebounding and taking care of the ball, but overall it was a good first game."
Next up for the Tigers is Siena Heights University on the road along with the varsity team on Tuesday night, followed by their home opener against Aquinas College on Thursday night at 7:00 pm.
