The JV Tigers were able to get back to winning ways on Wednesday night in a historic night from freshman
Xavion Meeks against Alma College. The Tigers won an exciting, high-scoring game 100-97. The game went into overtime, and the Tigers were able to outscore Alma in the overtime period 17-14.
Freshman
Xavion Meeks set the Tigers JV record for most points in a game with 38 points. He shot an efficient 11-21 from the field and an excellent 14-15 from the free throw line. Craig Whitaker added 17 points, including a big three pointer towards the end of the overtime period.Â
The Tigers were able to dominate the boards in this game. They out rebounded Alma 55-29, and this led to 18 second-chance points. The Tigers also shot  from the free-throw line as a team (23-27).
The Tigers return to action on the road Thursday (November 7th) against Great Lakes Christian College (Lansing).Â
