Grand Rapids, MI – A slow start would doom the Grace Christian University women's basketball team over the weekend at Aquinas College, resulting in a 65-50 loss on the road. Despite the loss, after not being able to get things going offensively in the first half the Tigers outplayed the Saints in the second half and outscored them 31-21 in the final 20 minutes.
Allazae Lloyd led the Tigers in her first action of the season, scoring 15 points and recording a team-high 4 steals.
Megan Scholtens was the only other Tiger in double-figures, scoring 10 points on 5-5 shooting from the field.
The Tigers, now sitting at 6-13 after a very difficult first semester schedule, will enjoy the Christmas and new year holidays on break before their next action in Kissimmee, Florida on January 9
