Berrien Springs, MI – The Tigers concluded their regular season with a convincing 78-55 win on the road over USCAA #11 ranked Andrews University Thursday night. Grace tallied the first 11 points of the game, limited the Cardinals to just 16 first half points with a stifling defense, and led by as many as 29 points. With a comfortable lead for the entirety of the game, Head Coach Gary Bailey was able to get all 18 guys on the roster into the game.
Brandon Winchester-Jones led 4 players in double figures with 19 points. Austin Jackson added 15 and Adam Kregel and Bernard Smith had 10 points each. Smith led the Tigers with 9 rebounds, 8 in the first half.
"I was really happy with our effort again tonight," commented Coach Bailey. "We came out ready to play and played a full 40 minutes. I was happy with every aspect of our game tonight. It was also great getting all 18 guys in the game and they all played really well. It was the type of game we needed heading into our Regional play next week."
The Tigers enter postseason play with an 11-1 record in the NCCAA and 19-11 overall. They will head to Knoxville, Tennessee next week to start postseason play at the Mideast Regional Tournament where they have a first round bye as the #1 seed.
