Berrien Springs, MI – The Tigers scored a big win to finish off their regular season over the Andrews University Cardinals on the road in overtime on Thursday night, 64-56.
A huge third quarter in which they outscored the Cardinals 18-2 would propel them to a double-digit lead, but a lackluster fourth quarter allowed the Cardinals to storm back and tie things up in regulation. In the overtime period, Grace would hunker down and outscore Andrews 9-1 to go home with the victory.
Bre Harris scored 19 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Miranda Carlson led the team in the scoring column with 21 points. Ashley Hoek had 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 blocks. Hoek's 6 blocks puts her at 66 on the year, already breaking Jessica Sikorski's record of 64 set in 2011.
The Tigers finish their regular season 15-15 heading into Mideast Regional Tournament play next Friday in Knoxville, TN at Johnson University (TN).
