Box Score Kalamazoo, MI - The Grace Christian University volleyball team opened up their season on the road Tuesday night at Kalamazoo Valley Community College, eventually falling in four sets to a talented Cougars team.
The final set scores were 19-25, 25-18, 15-25, 22-25.
Grace Head Coach Kerri Shultz was optimistic about the performance, and hopes the team can work out some minor kinks for a big weekend upcoming in Ankeny, Iowa, where they will face NCCAA DII competition.
"Our girls found some fight tonight against a very fast paced team, and we learned to come together and play hard," said Shultz. "We are excited to build off of this first game and take the lessons we learned to our games in Iowa this weekend."
The Tigers will face host Faith Baptist Bible College on Friday at 6:00 pm in Ankeny, and follow things up on Saturday with a match against Dallas Christian College at 10:00 am and another match against Faith Baptist at 2:00 pm.
