Wyoming, MI - The Grace Christian University men's soccer team defeated a very solid Boyce College (KY) team Friday evening at Velting Field, by a score of 3-0.
Senior
Dustin DeVries struck first for the Tigers on a centered pass from freshman
Brett Arnold in the first half. The game remained scoreless for both teams until junior
Dylan DeVries put in a penalty kick midway through the second half to give the Tigers a two goal cushion. Sophomore
Jared Farnsworth capped things off with the third goal for the Tigers after shaking himself free from a couple Bulldog defenders and driving a pretty left footed kick past the goalkeeper. Freshman
Levi Pant was fantastic in the goal as he recorded four saves in the first clean sheet of his young career.
The Tigers move to 1-1 on the season and will return to the pitch next Saturday in Whiting, Indiana against Calumet College of Saint Joseph.
