Ankeny, IA – The Grace Christian University Tigers finished their first week of action in a big way over the weekend at Faith Baptist Bible College, winning all three of their matches in dominant fashion.
In their first competition against the host Eagles of Faith Baptist, the Tigers won in three straight sets. They followed up Saturday morning with a nice 3-1 victory over Dallas Christian College, coming back strong after falling 25-19 in the first game. They would finish their trip by defeating the Eagles once again 3-0, closing out the weekend with three big NCCAA DII wins.
Tori Johnston recorded 85 assists throughout the three matches, and Ashley Hoek led the Tigers in kills and blocks throughout the weekend with 30 and 15, respectively.
The Tigers move to 3-1 on the season heading into a couple matches next Saturday at Concordia University-Ann Arbor.
