Howell, MI – The Grace Christian University Tigers women's soccer team hit the road for the first time of their young 2019 season Wednesday night, traveling to play the always-tough Cleary College Cougars. 

The Tigers took about eight minutes to find their ground, surrendering 3 three goals in the early stages.  For the remaining 82 minutes of the game the Tigers defense held strong and they had a couple chances to score but could not find the back of the net, ultimately falling 3-0 to the Cougars.  Junior goalkeeper Regan Befus recorded 11 saves on the night.

"We gave up three early goals and then settled in and played a solid game," commented Head Coach Scott Teesdale.  "I'm really happy with the effort and hard work the team put in."

The ladies look to bounce back this Saturday as they take on Calumet College of St. Joseph along with the men's team in Whiting, Indiana.  Kick-off will be at 2:00 pm CT.
