Pilka's four goals lift Tigers to 5-0 senior day victory

Wyoming, MI – In their final action of the season at Velting Field on Saturday afternoon, the Grace women's soccer team upended Lincoln College 5-0 in the first ever meeting between the two schools.

Senior goalkeeper Regan Befus had one save in her senior day shutout, which came on a well-hit free kick for the Lynx outside the box early in the game. Grace forward Haley Pilka had a breakout performance with four goals on the day.  The four goals for Pilka marks a career-high and more than doubles her total on the season, now with seven scores on the year.  Hannah Heyboer put in the other goal for the Tigers, in addition to assisting on one of Pilka's scores. Jennie Sue Pilieci and Alivia TerMeer had the other assists for the Tigers.

Overall, the Tigers controlled the pace for the majority of the game and outshot the Lynx 30-4 overall.

Grace now sits at 4-1-1 on the year heading into a huge road trip next weekend to Toccoa Falls, Georgia and Knoxville, Tennessee, where they will face NCCAA DII opponents Toccoa Falls College and Johnson University-Tennessee.
