Watertown, WI –The Grace men's soccer team took the road for their first away trip this weekend to face Maranatha Baptist University – the second match-up between the two teams after a season-opening 8-0 win for the Tigers on September 12th.
The road atmosphere was not a hindrance for the Tigers, as a strong first half propelled them to a 5-0 lead at the halftime break. Franklin Rodriguez-Arias' second goal of the day would start off the first half and would be the last scoreboard change of the game, with the Tigers holding on to their 6-0 lead to the final buzzer. Grace moves to 3-1 on the season.
JuniorJared Farnsworth scored two goals and added an assist for the Tigers – a performance that resulted in a recently-announced nod as the NCCAA DII Men's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week.
The Tigers have this week off in terms of officially competition, and they return to the field next Tuesday in Lansing, MI against Great Lakes Christian College.
