Wyoming, MI – The Tigers started out hot against the Golden Eagles of Cornerstone University Monday evening at the Aldrich Athletic Center, but ultimately lost steam in the second half to result in an 82-61 setback.
After only about six minutes of play, Grace led by double-digits at 16-6, but Cornerstone then went on a 20-4 run to overtake the lead and extend it to six points.

Emily Libey then caught fire and knocked down three straight three-point shots at this point to carry the Tigers to a one-point halftime advantage.
For the first seven minutes of the second half, the game looked to be trending towards a fantastic finish, with multiple lead changes and the game knotted at 49-49. At this point, however, the Golden Eagles went on an 18-3 run and never looked back, resulting in the 21-point win.

Megan George led the Tigers with 16 points each.
Emily Libey added 14 points and shot 3-6 from beyond the arc. As a team, the Tigers shot only 32.4% from the floor compared to 47% from the Golden Eagles, which proved to be the difference.
Grace, now 2-4 on the season, returns to the floor Wednesday night against Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN, at 7:00 pm.
