Knoxville, TN – The Grace Christian University men's soccer team brings home the Mideast Regional Championship banner for the second time in as many seasons after a gritty 1-0 win over #2 seed Johnson University-TN Saturday afternoon. Junior Ethan DeWitt had the final touch on a goal early in the first half that would ultimately be the game winner as both defenses held the game scoreless for the final 80+ minutes of play.
The Tigers, now 8-2 on the year, are now headed to the NCCAA DII National Tournament for the second straight season after finishing fourth in 2019. Holding the #2 seed, they start things off with a match on Wednesday November 18 against #6 Manhattan Christian College and then a rematch with #3 Pensacola Christian College on Thursday to cap off pool play. If they win their pool, the 2020 NCCAA DII National Championship will be played at 12:30 pm on Saturday, November 21.
