Dubuque, IA – The Grace women's basketball team moves to 5-3 after a quality weekend in Iowa which saw them go 2-0 against NCCAA DII competition at Emmaus Bible College.
To start the weekend off against the host on Friday, the Tigers led from start to finish and topped Emmaus 70-50.
Emily Libey led the Tigers with 18 points, followed by
Megan George with 14.
Ashley Hoek had 13 points and 13 rebounds.
On Saturday, the Tigers followed up with a 93-56 win over Faith Baptist Bible College. They caught fire in the first half, exploding for 54 first half points and would never look back, resulting in the 27 point victory. Freshman
Ashlyn Wilkes poured in 22 points to lead the Tigers, followed by 19 from
Emily Libey.
Ashley Hoek recorded 12 points and 12 rebounds for her fourth straight double-double, and sixth on the season.
The Tigers travel to Indiana Tech for an exhibition game on Wednesday this week, and cap the week off with a home game against Bethel College this Saturday at 1:00 pm.
