Wyoming, MI – A strong start to the second half put the Grace Christian JV men's basketball team in winning position Thursday night at the Aldrich Athletic Center, but a cold front sweeping in late doomed the Tigers in a 76-65 setback to the Aquinas Saints. The Tigers led 55-48 with 8:00 remaining in the game, but at this point a lid was put on the Grace basket and the Saints started to heat up from beyond the arc, resulting in Aquinas capturing the lead with 4:00 left. The final 4:00 remained all Saints, as they escaped with the win.
Gerard Oray led the Tigers with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists. Ethan Clason added 13 points and
Adam Rearick chipped in 11. Cam Staal was 3-3 from the floor for 6 points and 8 rebounds off the bench.
The Tigers are now 5-4 heading into a match-up with NJCAA #3 Muskegon CC this upcoming Saturday at 1 pm.
