Box Score Wyoming, MI – After starting the year with three NAIA opponents and one NCAA DIII opponent, the Grace Christian University men's soccer team saw their first NCCAA DII competition Thursday in a regional matchup with Campbellsville-Harrodsburg at Velting Field.
After a physical first half, the Tigers grinded to a 1-0 lead on a PK goal from Zak TerMeer. The second half things would open up a bit, with a quality header from Dylan DeVries finding the back of the net to give the Tigers a 2-0 cushion and one more goal later on from Mason Yarbrough would add the exclamation point to cap off a 3-0 victory.
TerMeer followed up his 3 goal, 2 assist performance on Wednesday with a 1 goal, 2 assist performance on Thursday. Luis Vicario also recorded his first shutout in the goal for the Tigers.
The win marks two straight for the Tigers and moves them to 3-2 heading into their first away game next Tuesday in Rochester Hills, MI vs. the Rochester College Warriors.
