Gallatin, TN – The Grace Christian University women's basketball team moved to 8-5 on Saturday after closing out their Tennessee trip with a win over regional opponent Great Lakes Christian College 63-50 on a neutral floor at Welch College. The two teams would go into the halftime break tied at 32-32, but the Tigers dominated the third quarter and outscored their opponent 19-5 to give themselves a large enough cushion to escape with the win.
Four Tigers finished in double figures scoring, led by
Emily Libey with 15 points, followed by
Megan George with 14.
Ashley Hoek added 11 points and 10 rebounds, following up a night where she surpassed 1,000 career points against Welch on Friday.
Taejah Cross had her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Tigers will now be traveling even further south for the upcoming week, as they close out the semester break in Pensacola, Florida with games against Southeastern Baptist College on Thursday and Pensacola Christian University on Friday.
