Spring Arbor, MI - Your Grace Christian Tigers traveled to Spring Arbor University for a big showdown. A match-up that would be a battle the whole game. The Tigers would end up coming up with the upset on the road winning 77-75. Coming off a shot in the final seconds of the game by
Bankeys Omari.

Leading the way for the Tigers in scoring were:
Jalen Rawls (JD) 20 pts. Ty Thiel 18pts, Parker Neu 12pts & Bankeys Omari. 12pts.
Our rebounding leaders on the day were:
Melvin Frazier 9 REB & Parker Neu 6 REB.
Coach Krombeen had this to say on the road win vs SAU: "
I loved the fight and togetherness we played with. We got hit with a little run to start the second half, but we stayed calm, followed the game plan, and answered very well. Their 6'8" freshman is the real deal, and gave us fits, but we didn't allow anyone else to beat us. JD (Rawls) didn't give their best shooter any space in the second half, holding him without a point in the last 20 minutes. I thought Parker (Neu) had his best game of the year, he worked his butt off all game. Our guards hit big shots after big shots to keep us close, and Mel (Frazier) executed our last play perfectly. Keys (Omari) made a great cut, and finished strong. Definitely our best win of the year, and it couldn't have come at a better time. I'm excited that we can go into Christmas on a high, and can't wait to get back at it".
We also heard from several Tigers on the big road win. Here is what they had to say:
Bankeys Omari, "
That win felt better because we didn't care who got the last shot. We trusted our coach to call the perfect play and trusted each other. Glory to God for the dub and an injury free game"
Jalen Rawls (JD), "
We worked together as a team to accomplish our goals for that game, showed up defensively in the second half and came out with a Great team win moving forward."
Melvin Frazier, "
We knew it was a big game for us to show how good we can be as a team even through a little adversity. Everyone played their part and was ready when their number was called and it led to a big team win".
The Tigers are back in action Tues. Dec. 27th at home vs Cornerstone University. They look to continue to build on the success going into the rivarly match up.
