Tigers grind through four games in rough conditions in Kentucky

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 Grayson, KY – The Grace Tigers baseball team got 4 games of action in within a 30 hour time span over the weekend at Kentucky Christian University, facing the NCCAA Knights for the first time in program history.

The Knights would cruise to four victories, but the Tigers were able to build a little momentum later in the weekend, scoring 8 runs in their second-to-last inning of competition on Saturday. Carter Willis recorded his second home run of the year in game three, and had 3 RBI on the weekend. Aiden Malone record 4 RBI throughout the four games, and Kelan Knoll added 3 RBI as well.

"This weekend we faced many challenges including some injuries, the weather, and tough field conditions," said Grace Head Coach Colton Wolfe. "But the boys fought through it and stayed mentally locked in through hail and sleet to give a fight for 4 games. I was proud of the guys for giving their best effort in the final game of the series. We are making improvements each day we're out, and that first win will come soon if we keep improving at the little things."

Next up for the Tigers is a trip a few hours south to Goshen College in Goshen, IN on Tuesday for a double header beginning at 2:00 pm.
