The Tigers dropped two more games at Spring Arbor University to close out last week. The Grace men were able to build some momentum to finish the first game outscoring the Cougars 6-2 in the final three innings of a 15-7 loss, and were within striking distance for the first 5 innings of game 2. However, the Cougars went on to put together a huge inning in the sixth to coast to victory to cap off the night.
Carter Willis and
Carter Hewitt both recorded 2 RBI for the Tigers in game 1, and
Logan Hamstra had a quality night in the batter's box with 4 hits (4-6), 2 walks, and 2 runs.
Lorenzo Lopez had the lone RBI for the Tigers in game 2.
Despite canceled home games on Monday due to some April winter weather in Michigan, this upcoming week is a big one for Grace, as they will face Glen Oaks CC on the road in a doubleheader on Tuesday and then have a big home-opening weekend at Lamar Park on Friday and Saturday vs. NCCAA opponent Maranatha Baptist University. The first game starts at 2:00 pm on Friday.
