Utica, MI – The stage for Wednesday afternoon's baseball games for the Grace Christian University Tigers was a big one – taking on Lawrence Tech (NAIA) at the beautiful Jimmy John's Field on the eastside of the state.
At the start of the game, it looked like the Tigers were still riding their momentum from three straight wins over the weekend, jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning. The Blue Devils were able to escape the inning with three Tigers on base and went on to control the next four innings to result in an 11-4 victory.
The wheels fell off for the Tigers a bit in game two after sitting tied at 1-1 after the 1
st inning, as the Blue Devils exploded in the second inning for 11 runs and cruised to an 18-1 win to close out the night.
The Tigers finish their regular season this Friday vs. NCCAA regional opponent Concordia University in Ann Arbor, MI. The doubleheader will begin at 2:00 pm.
