The Grace Christian University baseball team concluded their first official regular season over the weekend against Concordia University-Ann Arbor, falling to the Cardinals in both games of a double-header in Ann Arbor, MI. The first final was 10-2 and the second final was 18-0.
They finished the regular season with a perfect 3-0 record at home and will likely see a more consistent bill of games as the home team next Spring. The 2022 Regional Tournament is currently awaiting some results from NCAA DII Cedarville University before the schedule is set for next week at Malone University in Illinois.
Looking back at the season numbers in their entirety,
Dylan Thomas and
Logan Hamstra led the Tigers in batting average at .303 and .297, respectively.
Carter Willis belted a team-high 2 home runs. Hamstra also led with 18 RBI, followed by Willis and
Lorenzo Lopez with 17 each.
Jacob DeLong and
Jared Garnaat led the Tigers in fielding percentage at .967 and .950, respectively.
Logan Hamstra also led the Tigers on the mound with 21 strikeouts, followed by
Cole Crabtree with 19 and
Cooper Lake with 18.
