Gary, IN - Grace senior Eleyna Zichterman reached an impressive career milestone as she tallied her 1,000th dig in Saturday's game against IU Northwest. Zichterman has played a key role for the Tigers the last three seasons as libero and defensive specialist. She ended her sophomore year in 2021 with 364 digs, her junior year in 2022 with 368 digs, and currently has 295 in her senior campaign.
"Eleyna has sacrificed her body countless times for the team and deserves so much recognition for her abilities," said Head Coach Kerri Shultz. "She has graced the team with her humbleness and hard work for 3 years and I'm so proud of her and this accomplishment!"
The Tigers are now 10-9 on the season after falling to IU Northwest 0-3 on Saturday. Zichterman led the team with 14 digs. The team travels to Dubuque, Iowa this weekend as they take on Faith Baptist Bible College and Emmaus Bible College.
