Wyoming- MI, Grace entered their last regular season game at home on senior night facing a strong Asbury University side. The match started with a back and forth battle. Asbury would display their quality and create a 2-0 lead at halftime.
At half Grace honored their 3 seniors,
Moubarak Adam,
Evan Gort, and
Riley Mosterd.
"I have been fortunate to have all 3 of these young men in our program," reflected Coach Buchanan. "They each have brought something different, given all, and I can truly say these guys and their all-in mentality have helped make our program stronger. They have been here and a part of the most successful time in Grace's men's soccer history. I am forever grateful for the opportunity myself and our coaching staff have had to coach Mo, Evan and Riley. I know they will have an impact on not only the remainder of this season, but after their playing careers. Family Is Forever."
Making several changes with the Midwest Regional tournament approaching, the Tiger's clawed their way back to a one goal deficit to 1-2. That excitement was temporary as Asbury quickly scored soon after. Asbury would continue to show their class earning a 5-1 victory.
The Tigers will enter the regional tournament on Friday as the #3 seed, drawing #2 Great Lakes Christian in the first round. Earlier in the year, Grace defeated the Crusaders 2-1 at Velting Field. The regional tournament will be played at Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown, WI. All livestream links to the games can be found on the
