Grace Bows Out Of National Semi Finals

Joplin, MO - The Grace Christian volleyball squad played their final match of the 2023 season today in the National Semi Finals against Manhattan Christian College (Ka.). After surviving pool play by winning games against Randall University (Ok.) and Calvary Bible (Mo.), the Tigers drew the overall #2 seed in Manhattan.

The match started off with promise, as Grace battled in a tight first set, eventually falling 21-25. Sets two and three would go fully in favor of Manhattan, as the Tigers dropped those sets by scores of 11-25 and 16-25 respectively. Stat leaders from the game were Morgan Martin with 10 kills, Liberty Laker with 2 blocks, Lily Hulst with 12 assists, and Eleyna Zichterman with 16 digs to cap off an impressive career with Grace Volleyball.

The Tigers finish the year with an 18-11 overall record, marking their highest win total since the 2018 season. The team played with grit and perseverance throughout the season, and represented Grace Christian University well on the biggest stage. The Tigers look to continue their upward momentum next fall in the 2024 campaign.
