Palos Heights, IL - The Men's Basketball team traveled to Palos Heights, IL. Wednesday night, fresh off a large win at home vs Emmaus College. Riding the wave of that win, plus the 29 point defeat of Trinity Christian College a month ago, the Tigers were feeling good going into this rematch with the Trolls.
The game started out as planned, with Grace jumping out to a 13 point lead after 7 minutes of play, and ultimately taking a lead into the locker room at halftime, 36-32. But the Trolls came out with a vengeance in the second half, eclipsing the Tigers by 18 in the half, to bring their final margin of victory to 14 points; 84-70.
Grace certainly saw some positives from the game, as they scored 31 points off the bench in the game. Junior,
Gavin Fisher, lead the team with 15 points, all off the bench. The Tigers also won the rebounding battle overall in the game, 41-40. Senior,
Parker Neu, earned double digit rebounds (10), and was just two points shy of a double-double on the night. Senior,
Zac Yorke had a solid game all-around, scoring 10 points and collecting 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
Grace will have to let this loss sink in over the holiday weekend before they can get another chance at adding to the win column. The Tigers will play at Cornerstone University on December 29th at 3pm, immediately followed the next day with an exhibition at NCAA DII Hillsdale College.
