Albion, MI - Grace Christian's men's soccer team traveled to Albion on Wednesday evening to take on NCAA DIII Albion College. The Tigers were defeated 1-4 by the Britons on their home field.
Kameron Link scored the first and only goal of the game in the first half for the Tigers, assisted by Moubarak Adam. Junior goalkeeper Luis Vicario recorded 5 saves on the night.
"I was thrilled with the start of the match. Going into a tough place to play away, I thought the boys showed maturity, said Head Coach Dustin Buchanan. "We did very well to score the first goal which was a wonderful play by Mo Adam and finished by Kameron Link. The difficult moment came giving up a pk for Albion to level. Regardless of how we felt about the call, it is still a penalty that they converted. This was a big moment swing where I feel we need to be better. That growth will come. We were so good in moments of the match we just have to create more of those and grow with confidence. To see when we work well going forward we can be dangerous, then do that again and again and again finding more consistency in our play."
The Tigers are on the road again as they travel to Adrian on Saturday, September 23rd to face NCAA DIII Adrian College.
