Grand Rapids, MI - The Tigers played on back to back nights this week; Wednesday at Aquinas College, and Thursday at home versus The University of Olivet.
At Aquinas, Grace fought hard but lost in consecutive sets, 13-25, 16-25, 17-25. Leading the team's defensive efforts was
Eleyna Zichterman with 11 digs, and
Zyan Tatum with 3.0 blocks on the night. In a tough break for the Tigers, freshman front-line leader,
Liberty Laker, suffered an ankle sprain that took her out of the game, and she is sidelined until further notice.
Looking to bounce back on Thursday night at home, Grace got off to a hot 9-2 start in the first set. However, it the momentum shifted back to the Comets and they would eventually drop the first set 22-25. Set two was one to forget, as the Comets cruised to a 25-8 victory. Grace would make things interesting again in the third set however, and the score was locked at 19-19 late in the set. Olivet ended up winning the last 6 points straight to close out the Tigers 25-19. Leading Grace in kills was

Lily Hulst (8), and digs were
Eleyna Zichterman and
Morgan Martin (12).
The Tigers are back in action this weekend at Moody Bible College on Saturday at 1pm CST, looking to close out the week with a win.
