Watertown, WI - The Grace Women's Basketball team continues to improve as the season progresses. On Saturday the Tigers traveled to Watertown, WI for a NCCAA DII match up against Maranatha Baptist University. Down by 7 at the half, Grace was able to keep it close throughout the game. However, the Sabercats came out on top, defeating the Tigers 48-57.
Lily Helmuth led the Tigers with 14 points and 5 steals.
Alexa Borgman had a big night as well with her second double double of the season, 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Julia Schultz added 7 points.
On Monday night Grace made their way over to Pittsburgh, PA to face Carlow University. The Tigers fell 43-68 to the Celtics. Helmuth once again led the squad with a double double, dropping 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Jada Reese scored 13 points.
The women's basketball team is on the road again this Saturday at Andrews University at 7:30pm.
