Lansing, MI - Grace Christian Men's Soccer traveled to Lansing Wednesday to take on rival Great Lakes Christian College. The Crusaders came into the game playing well in their last few matches, earning ties with Ohio Christian, Albion College, and Maranatha Baptist. The Tigers were coming off a 3-0 win vs Maranatha and hoping to make that two straight.
The Crusaders struck first with a goal from a Penalty kick late in the first half. However, Grace would respond early in the second half from a goal by
Paul Ureel, assisted by
Jacobo Ariza.
The score would remain 1-1 until the final whistle in a fairly even contest. The Tigers out shot Great Lakes 13-11, but couldn't get the go-ahead goal.
Grace's next match comes Saturday as they host another regional opponent, Emmaus College at 12pm at Velting Field.
