Wyoming, MI - The Grace Christian Soccer team welcomed Mount Mary University to Velting Field on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. For a second time this season, the Tigers would take down the Blue Angels, this time a 6-0 victory.

Jumping out to a quick lead, the Tigers scored 4 goals in the first half. Jessica Calizo scored two goals in the first half, with the other two goals scored by Stephanie Zalis and Julia Schultz. In the second half Abby Schwab and Natalie Huerta each recorded a goal, with Huerta also assisting 2. Defensively, Grace only allowed one shot, which was saved by goalkeeper Amiah Lake. 

"A very good showing for us on Saturday. A team we had already beat so the chaollenge was to play better than in our first game and show our improvement from that point," commented Coach Wilson. "We did not disappoint. Evedryone had a very solid game and we had some very good mometns where we played quality soccer for extended periods of the game. Hopefully a sign that we're playing our best right again the end of the season."

Next up for the Tigers is a trip to Rochester, MI to face Rochester Christian University on Tuesday, October 15.
