Wyoming, MI - After a tough weekend in Tennessee the Tigers returned home to the Aldrich Athletic Center to take on the rival Crusaders, from Great Lakes Christian College on October 1, 2024. The Tigers entered into this matchup with a 5-7 record on the season, and looked to get back into the win column.
The Tigers would get off to a bit of a slow start and fall in the first set 25-18. After the loss they regrouped and came back and took the next three sets 25-17, 25-14, and 25-13. This would be the first time that the Tigers have played past the third set all season.
The key performers for the Tigers were
Morgan Martin who finished the night with 15 kills,
Leah Buller with 13 and
Alexa Borgman with 9. Junior setter
Lily Hulst added 22 assists to the offensive efforts. With this performance, Senior
Morgan Martin is closing in on the 1,000 mark for both digs and kills in her collegiate career.
With the win the Tigers improved to 6-7 overall, and 5-1 at home. The Tigers will take the court next on October 4, 7:00pm at Ohio Christian University.
